Can’t Submit Video From Smartphone or Tablet
If you recorded video with a smartphone or tablet, instead of using Kaltura Media on a laptop or computer, you may not know how to submit the video assignment on Brightspace.
Problem: You or your student recorded a video on a smartphone or tablet and you’re unsure how to get the video submitted on Brightspace.
Solution: There are several ways to get a video sent from a smartphone or tablet so it can be submitted on Brightspace.
Solution #1: Submit the video directly on Brightspace
It’s ideal that all videos get uploaded to Kaltura Media, but if it’s not possible, just submit the video directly to Brightspace. You can use either the Brightspace Pulse app or your smartphone or tablet browser. When submitting a video assignment, press the Add a File or Insert Stuff button. Click on My Computer and select video file from your phone.
Solution #2: Use the Kaltura Go app
If you’d like to use Kaltura, download the Kaltura Go app for iOS or Android. You can record the video using the app or upload a video from your phone to My Media. Once the video is uploaded to My Media on you can submit a link for grading. Follow these instructions for how to use Kaltura Go to record and submit videos for grading on Brightspace.
Solution #3: Host the Video File and Submit a Link
If your instructor is unable to see the video you uploaded using Solution #1, you may need upload the video to the following places and submit the video link for grading on Brightspace:
- Download YouTube
- Download the Google Drive
- Download the OneDrive app (login with SMC credentials)
