How to Enable Instructor Live Proctoring
Instructor Live Proctoring is a remote proctoring option that works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and other video systems. This option uses LockDown Browser to prevent cheating on the computer itself, while the instructor watches students via video conferencing. This method is only recommended for small class sizes where instructors can effectively observe and track students during the exam.
This option is supported on Windows, MacOS and the new Chromebook Extension. LockDown Browser for iPad doesn’t directly support the Instructor Live Proctoring option.
To turn on Instructor Live Proctoring, follow these steps.
1. In your Brightspace course, click Quizzes from NavBr. Then press the LockDown Browser Dashboard tab.
2. Under LockDown Browser settings, select the settings for the quiz.
3. Scroll to the Proctoring options below the LockDown Browser settings.
4. Select "Allow instructor live proctoring for this exam."
